Brass Band Festival

From 28 April – 1 May, Brass Bands England (BBE) brought the European Brass Band Championships back to the UK as part of a wider festival of banding, with an awe inspiring ‘boom’ that projected brass bands far into the public sphere.

Throughout the Festival, an Arts Council England National Lottery Project-funded outside stage In Birmingham’s Centenary Square saw an audience of thousands hear music from across the spectrum of brass band instruments.

JA Productions delivered full production, site and safety management for the festival, managing the entire supply chain and liaising directly with Birmingham City council. Suppliers included IPS, Midland Security, Augusta Event Support and Wavelength.

Sarah Baumann, Brass Bands England’s education and development manager: “I am delighted in how the event went and had lots of feedback from audiences that the Outdoor Stage was the highlight of the festival. Sam and Dene – thank you so much for all your help this week, everything ran so smoothly. We wouldn’t hesitate to use JA Productions again for future projects, which I hope there will be an opportunity to in the next few years.”
